Job Opportunities

GCEC is hiring full-time Electricians and Electrical Helpers for projects across the Texas Hill Country. Both roles offer weekly pay with no week in the hole, steady 40+ hour workweeks, and a work environment focused on safety, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship. Applicants must be reliable, physically capable, and committed to showing up on time with a positive attitude.


Electrician

Electricians earn $25–$30 per hour depending on experience. Lead Electricians may receive a company truck, based on a clean driving record. This is full-time work across the Hill Country with weekly pay and consistent hours. Electricians handle new construction, repairs, installations, and must maintain GCEC’s high standards for safety, communication, and workmanship.

Electrical Helper

Electrical Helpers earn $15–$20 per hour depending on experience and must have a personal vehicle. This is a full-time role with weekly pay, steady hours, and hands-on training. Helpers support electricians on new construction projects, assist with materials and installations, and are expected to maintain a dependable work ethic and a professional attitude on every job site.

    • Valid driver’s license and/or state electrical license

    • Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for long periods

    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

    • 18+ years of age

    • Personal vehicle required for Helper applicants

    • Maintain a professional attitude

    • Wear appropriate PPE (hard hat, vest, steel-toe boots) when required

    • Deliver consistent, high-quality workmanship

    • Arrive on time with a positive attitude

    • Follow safety procedures on every job site

    • Assist electricians and support team members

    • Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures

    • Help install conduits and pipes for wires and cables

    • Make proper repairs and corrections

    • Operate hand tools correctly and safely

    • Use ladders and scaffolding when necessary

    • Maintain clean, organized work areas
